Review - Middleton Tyas School June 2007

We were delighted to be the first school to be involved in Chimera’s schools project. The workshop led by Andy and Vicky allowed our Year 5 and 6 pupils to work with musicians and, as a result, the children provided some percussion arrangements which they performed alongside the band’s concert that evening.

Chimera’s versatility and wide range of music give them instant appeal with parents and children alike. They delighted both young and old with their blend of folk and jazz and intrigued the audience with the sound of the didgeridoo. Wonderful fiddle tunes and thoughtful songs got everyone involved and soon had feet tapping. It was good to enjoy an evening concert performed in our school hall by such a talented group. We look forward to their return.
